Mile High Card Company Post-Holiday Extra Innings Auction

Mile High Card Company’s latest Extra Innings Auction is like a treasure trove for vintage card enthusiasts after the holiday lull. On May 28, the auction began, showcasing a rich catalog of over 1,200 lots that cater to a wide range of budgets and collecting interests.

The spotlight shines on iconic pieces such as a PSA 9 graded 1973 Topps Mike Schmidt rookie card, a 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle rookie card graded PSA 6 (MC), and a T206 Ty Cobb Portrait with a striking red background rated SGC 3. These cards hold significant historic value and rarity, attracting seasoned collectors who appreciate the finer nuances of the hobby.

Aside from these standout cards, the auction also presents complete and partial sets, including a 1956 Topps set featuring numerous graded cards that add depth and variety to the collection, appealing to collectors looking for completeness and quality in their acquisitions.

Collectors can also vie for coveted Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig cards from the 1933 Goudey series, a 1950 Bowman Jackie Robinson card graded SGC 5 EX, and a 1952 Topps Willie Mays card also graded SGC 5. The auction lineup traverses various sports legends across different eras, featuring a 1954 Topps Henry Aaron card graded PSA 3, and a 1961 Topps Mickey Mantle card graded PSA 7. Alongside these vintage gems, modern collectibles like a 2000 Bowman Tom Brady ROY Promotion card graded PSA 6, and sealed Pokémon Base Set boxes from 1999 and 2000, add a contemporary twist to the mix, accommodating diverse collecting interests.

The Extra Innings Auction will run until Thursday, June 6, giving collectors ample time to peruse the offerings and place their bids. Additionally, Mile High Card Company is already gearing up for its next major catalog auction slated for later in the summer and is open for consignments, promising more exciting opportunities for collectors to acquire rare and sought-after items that span the rich history of sports memorabilia and trading cards.
