In a strategic move to reinforce its connection with avid fans and collectors, the prestigious Formula 1 has decided to extend its exclusive trading card and sticker partnership with Topps, a division of Fanatics. This multi-year agreement solidifies Topps’ position as the official licensee for trading cards in the celebrated international racing series, a role it has held since 2020.
Under this renewed collaboration, Topps will persist in crafting trading card and sticker collections that showcase drivers participating in the Formula 1, Formula 2, and Formula 3 competitions. Additionally, the partnership includes Topps’ involvement in various 2024 FIA Formula One World Championship Grand Prix events, commencing with the Austrian Grand Prix. Enthusiasts attending these events can anticipate acquiring limited-edition trading cards to add to their collections.
Emily Prazer, Formula 1’s Chief Commercial Officer, and Kelvin Smith, Senior Vice President of Global Licensing and Partner Development at Fanatics Collectibles, expressed their enthusiasm for the extension. They emphasized how this partnership plays a pivotal role in captivating a broader audience and bridging the gap between fans and their beloved drivers and teams by offering distinct collectibles. Although the exact duration of the renewed deal was not specified, the agreement aims to elevate the fan experience through the introduction of exclusive products and engaging programs.
