Leaf’s Baseball Card Sets: Autographs, Top Prospects & Inserts

Leaf Trading Cards is set to enthrall baseball card collectors with two upcoming releases packed with prospect autographs and exclusive inserts, including the first professional cards for many 2024 MLB Draft picks.

Leaf Metal, scheduled for release on October 25, will be available in Hobby and Jumbo Box formats. The Hobby Box comprises seven cards, with four autographs, two base/parallel cards, and an exclusive “mojo auto.” The Jumbo Box, on the other hand, offers 14 cards, featuring eight autographs, four base/parallel cards, a Jumbo Box exclusive “pulsar auto,” and a “slabbed auto proof.” All autographs and base parallel cards in Leaf Metal will be numbered to 35 or less.

A coveted card to chase in this release is the triple autograph card featuring the top three picks of the 2024 MLB Draft: Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon, and Chase Burns. The set also boasts autographs from notable 2024 draftees such as Nick Kurtz, Hagen Smith, and Konnor Griffin. Baseball America’s top-ranked prospect Roman Anthony is also featured, including a card in the “91 Leaf” insert set, paying homage to a classic Leaf series. Other top prospects like Chase Dollander, Dylan Crews, and Coby Mayo, alongside potential future draftees like Ethan Holliday, are part of this exciting lineup. Rookies and recent grads such as Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and James Wood add depth to the collection.

Leaf Press Pass Premium, releasing on November 8, promises high-quality cards in premium boxes containing six base cards and parallels, with five autographs per box. One autograph per box will be numbered to 25 or less, adding an element of exclusivity to the set. Featuring a 100-card base set and a 100-card retro base set, each with eight parallels numbered to 35 or less, this series will showcase autographs from 2024 draftees like Bazzana, Condon, Kurtz, Smith, and Burns, as well as future prospects like Ethan Holliday. Veteran stars such as Mookie Betts, Ichiro, and Nolan Ryan will also make an appearance in the collection.

Autographs in the base set are numbered to 199 or fewer, while retro base autographs are limited to 49 or fewer. The release will also include a special “Press Box Signatures” insert featuring iconic names like John Smoltz, Jim Rome, and Vin Scully.

Both Leaf Metal and Leaf Press Pass Premium will be available on Leaf’s website and at major card retailers. These sets promise to offer collectors an impressive array of talent, from promising rookies to legendary veterans, making them a unique and valuable addition to any baseball card collection.
