Upper Deck, a prominent name in the sports collectibles industry, has recently unveiled exciting news about its partnership with The Brandr Group and CLC. These collaborations are set to introduce a groundbreaking series of trading cards that will shine a spotlight on a diverse array of college athletes from different sports backgrounds.
The newly launched project by Upper Deck, the World of Sports™ Volume 1 Trading Card Set, aims to honor the remarkable achievements of student-athletes hailing from colleges nationwide. The trading card line will feature outstanding programs like the University of Nebraska women’s volleyball team, renowned for their exceptional attendance records, and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s field hockey team, boasting consecutive national titles. Athletes from a multitude of officially licensed college programs under CLC, representing over 600 top universities, will be included in this special collection.
Having been a trailblazer in producing top-quality trading cards and memorabilia for professional athletes for over three decades, Upper Deck is seizing a unique opportunity with these new NIL-focused agreements. The company will now be able to create trading cards showcasing the name, image, likeness, and autographs of up-and-coming college athletes. The roster will feature stars from various women’s and men’s sports such as softball, gymnastics, field hockey, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and football.
Jordy Bahl, a decorated national champion pitcher, shared her enthusiasm for the project, saying, "Having my cherished softball memories immortalized in these trading cards is an incredible honor. I look forward to sharing them with my loved ones, fans, and everyone who has been part of my journey."
Jason Masherah, President of Upper Deck, emphasized the significance of these NIL agreements, stating, "By providing opportunities for these talented players to build their personal brand early on, we are not only championing equality for men and women in lesser-represented sports but also recognizing the immense success they bring to their respective schools. We are eager to bring these pivotal moments in their careers to collectors and fans alike."
Jim Neish, Vice President of Licensing and Business Development at The Brandr Group, echoed the sentiment by stating, "Teaming up with Upper Deck means offering numerous exceptional collegiate athletes the acknowledgment they deserve, regardless of the sports they excel in. These trading cards will elevate the profiles of these players, whether they establish themselves as standout student-athletes or venture into illustrious pro careers."
The much-anticipated Upper Deck World of Sports Volume 1 Trading Card Set will soon be available for purchase at local hobby shops, retailers, and online platforms. Keep an eye out for further updates on the official Upper Deck website, as this innovative collection is bound to capture the hearts of collectors and fans alike.
