Fanatics Collect, the popular platform for collectors, has unveiled a new Buy Now marketplace with a revamped fee structure that aims to benefit sellers. The latest update introduces a 6% fee for listings sold for under $120, marking one of the most competitive rates available in the industry. This change replaces the previous 20% buyer’s premium and bonus commission fees, paving the way for sellers to maximize their earnings.
Under the new fee structure, sellers will earn the same amount on sales of $120 or more as they did previously. However, for sales under $119.99, sellers can now earn up to 94% of the listing price, a significant increase from the previous maximum of 85%. This adjustment is designed to provide an immediate boost to sellers, with all existing listings seamlessly transitioning to the new fee structure without requiring any price modifications.
The redesigned Buy Now marketplace is focused on enhancing the visibility of cards, streamlining the listing process, and simplifying fees based on input from collectors and sellers. By removing the 20% buyer’s premium and bonus commission, the platform encourages sellers to create listings at more competitive prices, ultimately enriching the variety and quality of options available to buyers.
In order to maintain a fair marketplace, listings priced more than 20% above the fair market value will incur a 15% seller’s fee, instead of the standard 6%. Furthermore, the platform has eliminated the $3 minimum fee for Buy Now transactions, enabling sellers to list items for as little as 50 cents.
The upgraded Buy Now marketplace also promises accelerated transactions, as collectors making purchases through the Fanatics Collect app will pay immediately. This feature ensures that sellers receive their payments promptly, allowing buyers to swiftly add new items to their collections.
Sellers who prefer not to operate under the new fee structure have the flexibility to remove their listings at any time. Support is readily available through sales representatives or the Collector Experience team for any assistance needed during the transition.
